Find the Lost Password for Your Device

Many times we don’t remember the passwords of the things which we are not accessing daily like router passwords. Does it ever happen with you that you could not access the router’s web-based setup page? Normally to access it, it requires user name and password but what if you forgot password. To recover your router password you can use following steps.

Reset Your Router’s Password: It is next to impossible to access the router's web based setup page when you forgot password. To access the page you can reset your router from linksys smart wi fi setup wizard. To reset your router you must press and hold the reset button for few seconds. After resetting your router to its default setting you can reset its password. 

Accessing Router Based web Page: Once you have reset your password then you can access your router based web page to resolve the issue which you were facing. Here are the steps.

1.       After resetting your passwords you are able to access your router based web page.

2.       Go to administration tab and then click on the factory defaults sub-tab.

3.       There is Restore Factory Defaults button under Factory Defaults section, click on this Restore Factory Defaults button.

4.       Reconfigure your router as per your internet service after resetting its default settings.

Change Router Password: To change the router’s password go to management tab, enter the new password and re-enter the same key to confirm it. Make sure your have used the combination of letters, numbers and special characters to secure your password.
